London DAM meetup group started

Thanks to the efforts of Michelle Jouan as mentioned during Henry Stewart’s DAM Europe conference in June 2011, she is taking the initiative to start a digital asset management meetup group in London called London DAM. Michelle hopes for the group to be an informal forum for digital asset managers and others interested in the topic to get together to share ideas and experiences.

If interested in Digital Asset Management in London, you can join the London DAM group on Meetup.com and follow them on Twitter

Michelle is seeking a co-conspirator to run the group. If you are based in London (yes, in the UK) and would like to help run the Meetup.com site and the Twitter feed, find venues and schedule dates, please get in touch with her directly. She is a Digital Asset Management professional and a member of a few of Linkedin groups on Digital Asset Management as well.

This the first meetup group focused on Digital Asset Management outside of the United States. I believe there will be more in the world coming later on this year.

The United States currently has the following DAM meetup groups:

  1. NYC Digital Asset Managers (The world’s largest and the most active
DAM meetup group, started by Chad Beer and Michael Hollitscher)
  2. Socal DAM (Started by Lilly Taktakian and Roger Howard)
  3. DAM DC (Started by the author of this blog and David Lipsey)
Do you have a DAM meetup group near you?

Another DAM Pre-Conference Tweetup in New York

Join us at the Tweetup* in New York City on Tuesday, June 7, 2011  from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the New York Hilton.

This event is the evening before the start of the 2011 Henry Stewart DAM New York Conference held on June 8 and June 9, 2011.

NYC Digital Asset Managers Meetup group is coming too, so there should be more people than ever this year. Last year, we had a really nice crowd.

I look forward to meeting you there for this social event. Meet like minded-people and talk about Digital Asset Management (DAM). Join the DAM Community in New York City. Ask some DAM questions. Get some DAM answers. Buy a drink. Have some DAM fun. Meet DAM professionals from all over the US and abroad.

*Tweetup is originally organized as a ‘Twitter meetup’ in person. Here are the origins of the Tweetup. Whether you attend the DAM Conference or not, you can attend.  Please note, the DAM Tweetup is a non-hosted event with a cash bar. Twitter account not required.

Are you coming to the DAM Tweetup?

What is a DAM Tweetup?

Before each DAM Conference (at least in Los Angeles and New York City), people schedule an informal gathering for some casual, pre-conference fun and conversation.

Please note, the DAM Tweetup is a non-hosted event with a cash bar. Tweetup is originally organized as ‘Twitter meetup’ in person. Here are the origins of the Tweetup.

I was fortunate enough to attend the first DAM Tweetup at the Tropicana Bar (outdoors) with some great people during the evening just before the DAM LA 2009 Conference.

This time, in New York City, you can tweetup in the lobby bar of the New York Hilton on Wednesday May 19, 2010 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

This evening will just before the DAM NY 2010 Conference.

Whether you are attending the conference or not, this is a great time to meet like-minded people in a casual setting.

Have you been to a DAM Tweetup?

See you there.
