My name is Henrik de Gyor and I am a Digital Asset Manager for an educational organization. I manage a Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution on a daily basis. My responsibilities include the assets within the DAM, various collections, configurations, overseeing customizations, metadata management, operations, permissions and training for all users throughout the organization. The DAM organizes all audio, graphics, photographs, text and video so we can search, find, use, reuse and re-purpose these assets for the organization. The use of the DAM has expanded across multiple departments since everyone needs to manage digital assets efficiently and consistently. I also helped implement the DAM solution within the organization.

Previously, I have worked with several other DAM products on a daily basis inside other organizations within the fields of education, finance, journalism and media.

On a regular basis, I write this vendor agnostic blog about DAM in the user and administrator perspective. This blog is meant to share what I have learned with everyone who is interested about DAM.
